After completing a year at Floor to Ceiling Carpet One in Fargo, North Dakota I spent the summer of 2015 working for New York City designer James Rixner, and his principal designer Catarine Wright.

During my experience I was able to learn more about the design process, meet and learn from many elite and talented designers, explore the city of Manhattan and gain new friendships with interns from all over America.

One of the most memorable experiences was the only project I experienced from start to finish, the DIFFA Charity Picnic Basket. We were lucky enough to recieve donations form Robert Allen and Lenox, and created a successful (pet friendly) design.

We were also able to visit The Philip Johnson Glass House in Conneticut to learn about the iconic architect.

I am extremely grateful for the life long relationships and memories created during my field experience and am looking forward to using the skills I learned in my future career.
